Attorney Jonathan Bereman Joins BHGA

Attorney Jonathan J. Bereman recently joined Birnbaum Haddon Gelfman & Arnoux LLC. A 2013 graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law, Jonathan was admitted to the Illinois bar last year.

He has worked as a volunteer attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Metropolitan Family Services representing clients in all areas of family law, including child custody, visitation, child support, negotiation of alimony and the dissipation of marital assets.

Through his litigation experience, Jonathan vigorously defended his clients’ interests in settlement negotiations and at trial to successfully achieve the most favorable outcomes.

During his law school years, Jonathan gained significant courtroom experience working in the Cook County State’s Attorney Office, where he successfully prosecuted several trials while seeking the rehabilitation of at-risk youth. He also worked as a licensed extern with the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio advocating for his clients’ rights in federal court.

Jonathan was raised in Ft. Wayne, Ind., and graduated from Indiana University. He also spent two years at Indiana Institute of Technology, where he was a member of the six-time NAIA national champion baseball team.
